I know this sounds odd, but does anyone have an idea how you can create a metalic sheen to skin. I am thinking like the Tin man in Wizard of Oz.
Thanks

Hi there ...
Try experimenting with Filter>Stylize>Emboss ...
... low figure in the height try 8 ish
.... high figure in the amount 480 ish
then play with the angle ..
It may start you off with the effect :)

A gradient map applied to the face (through a selection) would do the trick. I have a metals selection of gradient maps in which one is a chrome that would do the job, I think. If you'd like it, drop a line.

If you use the Optikverbs (i think that's it) plugins (Virtual Photographer?) there is a B&W Moonlight filter that does a great silver. But that works on an entire picture. (Maybe you could do it to a picture then cut out the person and paste it into your picture.)
