For some reason, I've noticed that the colors in PSE 5 are suddenly 'off' - I've noticed it with blues in particular. Instead of blue they are showing as grey. When I open the item in another program, they look blue as they are supposed to but when I pull them into PSE 5 the color changes. Any idea what might be going on or how I can fix it?

anrobe,

Have you tried resetting the adobe photoshop elements settings file?
Maybe a setting got corrupted or accidently changed.
Hold down the Shift+Alt+Ctrl keys while starting elements, when the window appears asking if you want to delete the settings file click yes, you should then have the original default settings.

Yes, I tried that but its still doing it. I was hoping that would fix it but no luck. It's so strange because other colors look okay. I tried green, red, brown, yellow, orange. all fine. Blues though always look grey. And what is even stranger is that if there is something with blue and green for example - the green looks fine but the blue is grey??

You may have a damaged color profile associated with your display. See this FAQ:

I think that worked - it took me awhile to get it to remove the profile but the file I'm looking at is now blue!!! YAY! Thank you so much, John!

Great, glad it was that simple.
