Laurel, welcome aboard!
Probably the Application Data folder is hidden. You need to do this:
My Documents > Tools > Folder Options > View > Select "Show hidden files and folders."
When you go back to C:\...., you should now see the AD folder.

Hi, you're most than welcome! Glad to help.
In the Effects palette, click the 3rd icon from the left -- Photo Effects. Grant's tools should appear in their own category. If you want the names of the actions to be visible, click the double arrows to the left of Effects, and select "Show names."

Sepiana,
Are you familiar with the Pioneer Woman: www.thepioneerwoman.com/photography (http://www.thepioneerwoman.com/photography) ?
Anyway, she offers free downloads of her actions. Someone said that Elements 7 is incompatable with her Photoshop program. Another said is possible. I was able to download it and see it in my documents but can't find it in my editing page on Elements. Can you help?
Thanks in advance,
Charlotte :(

Hi Charlotte ..
There really isn't an easy answer on this one ... the only way of being sure is download the actions and try them.
Generally speaking the more complex the photoshop actions the less likely they are to work on Elements ..

Hi Charlotte,
That's what I have learnt about actions (someone correct me if I'm wrong):
1. Actions can be written only in Photoshop.
2. In order for actions to work in PSE they have to be written with commands that are executable in PSE.
Now as to your question -- no, I'm not familiar with Pioneer Woman actions, but I did some research and I learnt this.
1. Last April, when she came out with her first action set, she said here (http://thepioneerwoman.com/photography/2008/04/actions/):
... First, this package of Photoshop actions does not work with Photoshop Elements. As I’ve said before, I’m working to put together a set of Elements-friendly actions and will keep you posted on their progress. ...
2. Last December, she made available her second action set. She then had this explanation here (http://thepioneerwoman.com/photography/2008/12/pioneer-woman-action-set-2-yahoo-yippety/):
P.P.P.S. Elements users: Elements actions have presented a greater challenge than I thought. While I’ve been experimenting with a handful of Elements actions, I’ll be sure to step up the Elements-friendly tutorials, and find ways to replicate some of the above effects for you.
There's a Contact link in her website. Maybe you could inquiry how her plans are going for PSE actions.
Personally, my rule of thumb is -- if an action doesn't say "for PSE" -- I don't mess around with it.

NOTE: Check the PSE Club Room in the Main Menu for more free actions (you have to register for these).
