Hello. I've been reading up on Plugins so thought it was about time to try some. I would like Plugins that would easily give me different edges and profesional looking effects for Photos. Can anyone suggest a good site to find the Plugins. I'm a novice at this so the easier the better.

Kathy,

Here is a site you can download free plug-ins for frames and edges and other effects. I use 3 of them for digital framing, frame works, foto frame, and texture frame.
There is one for edges but I have not used it.

Hi Kathy,

I have purchased the plug-ins below. I love them and use them a lot.

http://www.topazlabs.com/topazlabs/03products/topaz_adjust/
http://www.topazlabs.com/topazlabs/03products/topaz_simplify/
http://www.mediachance.com/plugins/redynamix.html
http://www.redfieldplugins.com/filterFractalius.htm

You can download a free demo trial to see if you want to purchase the plug-in. If you want to see images by our forum members who use the plug-ins, you can search using keywords, such Topaz, Fractalius, HDR, pseudo-HDR.

I also have a couple of free plug-ins that I use as well, although not as often I should -- I forget I have them installed.:)

For free plug-ins for edges and frames, you can try this:

From the link Doug posted above, I downloaded Foto Frame and Frame Works. I really like them.

Kathy, try this site...Pluginsworld.com

http://photoshop.pluginsworld.com/plugin.php?directory=adobe&software=photoshop&category=0

Each one is described, and includes links tot he publishers' site. Be aware that some plugins are very sensitive to the host application, e.g, Photoshop CS and not Elements, and also version numbers of the host applications are important.
