Thank you everybody for your wonderful birthday wishes.

I spent the day on the riverbank picnic-ing with my kids, grandkids, and some special extended family members.

In the evening I went out for dinner with some close friends and watched the sun set over the ocean from the restaurant window. (Dang, I didn't bring my camera, missed a classic for this week's photo theme! :))

But all through the celebrations our thoughts and prayers were also with the people over the other side of Australia who are suffering so much as a result of the dreadful bush fires. Please keep them in your prayers.

Cheers everybody, it was really nice to get birthday wishes from you all.

And yes, I am safe from the devastation on the other side of Australia, but we are all banding together with donations etc to assist. Well, only in a material sense, the emotional scars of those lost, and those fighting for their lives with such bad burns, we can only pray for them. It's going to be a long painful journey for many. Please keep them in your prayers.
