Hello all,

I need to make To Go Menus for my father's bar and would like to create three columns (rows) for my text. But I have noooo clue how to create columns in Photoshop Elements 5! Can anybody help me? It was much simpler in Microsoft Word, but PE 5 has so many cool features!

As well, I want the menus to be double-sided; that is, I want three rows on one side of each paper, and three rows of the reverse side. It's a decent-sized menu, so I'll need both sides. How do I set this up in Elements, and how do I go about printing these double-sided menus out on my Canon Pixma MP600?

Any help at all is appreciated!!!!

Hi ..

... and welcome to the Village :)

To be honest I don't think that Elements is the best software to do this ... do you have something like Word on your computer ??

I use Microsoft Publisher for things like this. It's what it is made for.

I use publisher for things like this also. If you have your heart set on using PSE you might be albe to use text boxes to make your lists. It can be done but may take a little work. Make sure you have your ruler turned on and maybe your grid for spacing so you can line everything up.

I have to agree with the others - PSE is not the best place to do text intensive projects.

I would create it in Word or another such program and then create the "neat things" in PSE and save them as pngs and add them to the Word project.

Even if you decide to do the final result in PSE, get all your text completed in a program like Word - and then use text boxes in PSE to copy/paste the text.

As far as printing two sided projects - Create two different projects. Open and print side one - open the second project - reinsert your printed copies flipping them over in the paper feed tray - print the other side.

When you print your first side, take note of which end comes out of your printer first. Then make sure you re-insert the paper so it comes out the same way.

Practice on one copy first.

Thanks to all of you! Were it not for this forum, I'd still be googling ways to make such columns in PE 5. Now I know. I don't think it would be too hard to use the Ruler/Grid to create what I'm looking to do. I think I'll give that a try.

Many thanks!
