Really weird problem with text

I've used the text before on PSE 6, but now I have something messed up.

If I try and type a word my lower case letters are all upper case just smaller.

For example. If I type the word text I want it to look like this.

Text
However, when I type the word it looks like this:

TEXT.

The "ext part of the word is capitalized, but smaller. I want lower caps and the "ext" part to look like this.

ext

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong.

Does this do it for are your different fonts? Some fonts are only uppercase.

If it is all fonts ... then try resetting the tool :)

Sorry. I forgot some important info.

Yes, it does it with all of the fonts. I've even did some tests and copied the text in correctly off my clipboard and it did the small upper case.

Can you tell me how to reset the tool?

Hi, to reset the text tool.
Have an image open in the editor.
Select the text too.
The first Icon in the option bar is the reset button.
You will get a drop down - Reset tool- Reset all tools.

Hope it will work for you.

The reason for having an image open is that a lot of things are grayed out
if no image is open.
