BEWARE: PRICE JUMP IN THE WORKS.........

The faster 30mb 200x SD Card, is or was $49.99 at Staples is now jumping or getting ready to jump in price. I've seen it in Staples in my area in Queens, NY for $69.99.

I just purchased it in another Staples in my area, there are 4 Staples in my immediate area and when I got to the register the young lady behind the counter gave me a very large amount. When I questioned it, she asked the Manager who was the one who had keys to open the Memory Card Cabinet and he agreed with me that the card was listed for $49.99 and gave it to me at this lower price.

I had checked B&H the other nite and they still had it listed for $48.99 so I would assume at this point the price is taking a hit on the up swing. Get it while you can for the cheaper price. Question the price if its marked lower on the rack when you get to the Register and calmly give them a story that either it was marked lower or you had still seen the price lower and you still might get it for the lower price.

These faster cards are worth the price of $49.99 but I would not pay the 20 buck jump for it. At 4 Gigs for this Extreme III at 200x is very fast and my Nikon D80 just absolutely flies with it. They also had the Ultra II 8 Gigs for the same $49.99 price and at this lower regular 100x speed I don't think its worth the price. If it was at the regular Class 6 133x maybe, but this new 200x speed you can't compare. I do have one Ultra II card and comparing this to the older regular Blue card its only slightly faster and not really that much.

I highly recommend this newer faster card if you can still catch it for the lower price.
