Someone posted a thread to this tut (http://www.davrodigital.co.uk/tutorials/castell-coch/castell-coch.htm). It was easy, and fun! Click the image to see a before and after:

Hi Val,
That looks a lot like the Orton effect. Great looking image! How did you get the before and after? Did you create an animated gif and upload it? Does that work with Pixentral?

Hi, Diana. Yes, I created an animated gif and uploaded to Pixentral. Set the time to 2 second delay and viola! Someone on the Pixel Hangout was describing how to do it, so I gave it a try. It's fun!

Great! I'll have to remember that. It saves uploading two images.

Hi Val
This image works so good with the Orton Effect. We are planning a family trip to Florida maybe I will get a good picture to try this on. I like the before and after for pixtental. So you had both images in the layers PSD file and then saved as gif? You also resized it?

Hi Vesta!
Yes, I had both images in the PSD file - one layer for each. (I think you have to put the layer you want to appear in the thumbnail, at the bottom of the stack). I also did my resizing first (before animating).
I then did File > Save for Web, chose GIF, then clicked the "animate gif" box. Set the timing cyle to about 2 seconds. Upload to Pixentral. It will immediately start cycling. Visitors have to click the thumbnail to see it animate.
What I don't know is what happens if you have more than 2 layers in your original PSD; you may have to merge all the layers except the Before and After.

Hi Val, you don't have to merge the layers. You can have quite a few layers.
I don't really know but there is a limit how big the file can be.
Before you go to SFW uncheck all the eye balls exept the bottom one.
I have done six layers.

Hi Val,
I think the key is the physical size of the file and not the number of layers.
Sometime ago I created a sig with animated snow. The file was about 400/430 x 150 with 30 layers. No problems whatsoever; it worked perfectly.
