Help with Epscan Scanner 4990 Photo & Photoshop Elements

Hi,

I bought an Epson Scanner 4990 Photo that came with Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0. I also have Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.0. When I scan a picture or go to view a picture I had already scanned it brings the photos up in Elements 2.0. Is there a way that I can get the photos to be in Elements 3.0? Thank you for any information anyone may have.

Welcome to the forums :)

I'm not familiar with your scanner, the software it uses or PSE2, so I can't help much with the scanning. Are there any options in the scanning software or PSE2 preferences?

As for opening files in PSE3 rather than PSE2, if you have Windows, then in Windows Explorer right click on an image and select "Open With". Select "Choose Program" from the menu and from the list pf programs find and select PSE3. Then check the "Always use the selected program to open this type of file" box.
