I purchases a capture card and it came with Pinnacle 9. Long story short the card works but the program has not given me one usable disk in the many hours I have put into it. All I want to do is put my vacation video on the coputer, cut out the parts that are not worth keeping and burning the final product on a DVD. Sounds simple eh? Would I be able to do that with this program? I do not need fancy special effects, just transfer video, cut, rearrange, burn. Thanks.

What kind of problems did you run into - in the edit stage? the burning stage? I am not sure I would have an answer but my son has used Studio 8 a lot and had good results. Before spending more money maybe someone will have an idea for you. :)

Spend the money and buy Adobe Premiere Elements. It's the best product out there for the price. I know I've experimented with at least fifteen different programs. Pinnacle was one of my least favorite. Premiere is the easiest to use, with the most power for the money.

Premiere worked much better than Pinnacle ever did for me. I had to upgrade memory to get to half way decent performance and there are other programs that perform better in less memory, but I think you'll find Premiere a good program.

Thanks everyone. I bought the Pemier Elements and in the last 2 days I have churned out 3 videos of my vacation. It is great.
