I need to convert Photo Slide VOB pix into JPG to be edited in Elements 5 or 6. Can someone please give me the proper procedure to do this and the best software to do the job.
I failed do save original pix when burning the DVD, and now need to edit a
few of the pix again. What is the proper procedure to accomplish this?
Your expertise will be sincerely appreciated!

I am assuming that you have a DVD with your project on it in DVD-VIDEO format, no still photos from project available, and you want to convert some of the video frames into stills.
If all that is correct, then give this a try (there are other ways, but you did mention Photoshop Elements 5 and 6).
1. Place your DVD disc (DVD-VIDEO) in the DVD/CD drive tray.
2. Open Photoshop Elements 6 Full Editor.
3. In the Full Editor, go File Menu/Import/Frame from video.
4. In the Frame from video dialog, browse to the DVD-VIDEO site and open the VIDEO_TS folder. (In the dialog, make sure that you have "Files of Type:" = "All Files".) In that location, open the VIDEO_TS, select one of the .VOBs with your content, and open that in Photoshop Elements 6 Frame from Video Dialog. I will leave the rest to you.
5. Good idea to deinterlace the "frame from video" (Filter/Video/Deinterlace).
Let us know if that is what you were looking for.
