Hi, Lisa. There have been some really bad ice storms across her area of the country (Kentucky) and some of us are guessing she lost power, as did thousands of others in the area. We're with you in hoping she returns soon!

I have had her on my mind since I saw the ice storms there also. I hope Kim and any other of our forum friends in that area are managing ok. On the upside - things encased in ICE can make beautiful pictures.

Hi, everyone! Thanks for thinking of me.

Val, you were correct in guessing that I lost power, along with just about everyone else in Kentucky! Last count, over 600,000 homes were still without power! We lost ours Tuesday evening around 5:30 p.m. and didn't get it back until mid-afternoon Friday. And Internet service was sporadic, at best. Even now, our lights still flicker every now and then, and I hold my breath each time they dim! To make matters even worse, we lost both landline AND cell service! We were completely cut off from civilization for almost three days! Cell phone service wasn't completely restored until just this morning.

You just don't realize how easy it is to take heat, lights, and phone service for granted until it's gone! I now say a small prayer of gratitude everytime I flip a light switch and it actually comes on!!! I can't tell you how many times I did that whenever I'd enter a darkened room and it remained dark!

Thanks again for your thoughts and keep good thoughts and prayers for those who are still without power.

Glad you are (mostly) back to normal...also glad that this FORUM was your first stop :D:D. Did you suffer withdrawal?

Kim, So glad to hear from you. You were the first thing that I thought about when I saw the pictures of Kentucky on the news. Glad to hear that you are fine.

I enjoyed my sabbatical from your written abuse for a day or two, but after awhile the masochistic part of me was suffering. Glad you are back, Kim!

Thanks, everyone! It is so great to be back! And I really do hope that someone stepped up in my place and took over the job of thoroughly harassing Steven while I was gone!
