This is a picture of a plant I took while in Cuba. Unfortunately there wasn't anyone around at the time for me to ask about it. Now I'm back home again and realized that I never did find out what it was. Does anyone here have any ideas?

I have lived in the states most of my life, bu I'm from Puerto Rico and have seen this plant. I can't remember its name, but I'll ask my siblings that live in PR.

I think it's called the Pink Pendula Cubana and it only grows in a tiny section of Cuba near where the Castro family lives

That's hysterical - I actually used to have one of these hanging in my office! I don't remember where I got it ... we called in the p*n*s plant :D Imagine my surprise to find out there's actually a cactus that goes by that name!
But to answer your question, it's an Acalypha pendula AKA "Trailing Red Cattail" AKA "Chenille Plant" AKA "Strawberry Firetails" AKA "Red Hot Cat's Tail". Chenille Plant seems to be the most common name.

Thank you so much. Now I know what it is. I'd never seen a plant like that before, and I don't expect I would in the climate I live in lol.
Thank you again. I so enjoy this forum!
