What do you think. I wanted to add a frame but everything I added did not look just right so I left it without a frame.

The window IS the frame! That's why nothing looked good I bet. I'd leave it with just a narrow stroke.

The textures are unique and lovely. I don't think it needs a frame.

I love it how it is - the texture (and image) are wonderful! I think a frame would distract form the image!!

Tina I love it just the way it is. Great texture and composition in the window frame. Beautiful work! What are you using it for? I can see a wonderful card, book cover or calendar there.

Wow! Great picture. I agree with everyone else, no frame needed.
Please share how you did this. What filter? What version of PSE? I would love to know.

I have PSE 5
Here are the steps I used
1.open the photo you want to use
2. Layer>new fill layer ( I used a pattern from Obsidiandawn.com) it was a grungy looking pattern.
3. Blend mode multiply
4. new blank layer
Choose a brush that you would like to use I used a swirl brush I had in my file. I set the opacity about 70% . Use the brush on the blank layer so you can remove it easy if you don't like the one you chose.
That was it. You can play with different brushes and patterns to see how it changes the look of the photo.

Fantastic shot. Nothing else needed as it would take away from what you have already.

:) thanks to everyone for the support. I feel at last like I am heading out of the dark days of winter. I have trouble every year at this time and it seems to be such a struggle to just stay going some days.
