The photos in this montage are from a variety of sources. Due to the fact that the dormouse is highly protected, I would not be allowed to photograph them even if I could find them.

Judy,
so pleased that you like it.
The dormouse is a very endangered animal and is protected by law, you're not allowed to disturb them in any way.
If you have read or seen Alice IN Wonderland, the dormouse is the animal sleeping in the tea pot.

Good thing they are not around me . It would be hard for me not to disturb them, cute as they may be.

Kev, do our cat friends know the rules about not disturbing the dormice? hmmmm?

The Cat of My Heart was a great mouser, and I don't think he would have been impressed by the law OR the cute faces!

Nice montage.

Shar,
I know that our Millie would have no respect for the law!!
Glad you like it,
Kev.

Kev,

Cute little varmints! But I can't imagine that they would perish from having their picture taken.

So very cute Kev. I used to like to catch mice in my hands when I was little. (I thought they were cute enough to catch!) My mother thought I was crazy, and tried to persuade me to seek other hobbies. Little did I know then that they carry lots of diseases.

Kev, these are a LOT cuter than your last montage subjects! :)

Another well-done project!

Kev, lovely montage! I guess the dormouse wasn't protected in Lewis Carroll's time -- the Hatter poured hot tea on its nose at the mad tea-party.:)

Cool! I've never seen even a picture of a real dormouse. I only know about them (it?) from Alice in Wonderland. I think, honestly, that I was't quite sure they were real animals or the product of Lewis Carroll's fevered imagination.

Byron,
photographing them does no harm. To find them you have to disturb their habitat and that's a big no no,
Kev.

Bobbie,
they are real!! Even LC wouldn't have come up with such sweet animals,
Kev.
