I'm having trouble printing an 8 x10 inch photo.
The pix in the organizer have a 2:3 ratio and 8 x 10
does not. When I try to print @ 8 X 10 and check
crop to fit, it cuts off part of the photo. Is there any
way to print at 8 X 10 without losing part of the
photo?

Sorry but you'll have to crop. The 2:3 ratio is what the camera takes and to get the 4:5 that's needed for an 8x10 you only have three options. Stretch it to fit which rarely ever looks good, leave some white space on either side and crop the print. Or crop the image to fit the different aspect ratio. I try to always frame the image in the camera to leave a bit of space that will let me crop to an 8x10 should I want to.

Hi nelting ....
... and welcome to the Village :)
As Tony said cropping is really the best solution ... do let us know how you go on with it.

Hi,
A few days ago I offered this suggestion to someone with a similar problem: http://www.elementsvillage.com/forums/showpost.php?p=432618&postcount=7
Hope this helps,
Bob

One of the tricks I've used is to only stretch (Transform) the edges of the image. Of course this does depend on the image.
Only yesterday I was trying to fit a 3:2 image into an odd size mount (matt). The image was of a flower centrally positioned but with shallow depth of field. This meant all the background was out of focus - which included the edges of the image.
What I did was to make a selection of the edges - just a small amount, say equivalent to no more than an inch of the end print. Just do one edge at a time. Then I copied this selection to a new layer and then using the transform tool stretched it out to meet the new aspect ratio.

thanks for the help. The strech command worked but
as you said distorted the picture somewhat.
