I am going to begin building a website and would like to know how many of you out there, are using Elements primarily as your graphic editor. Secondly, as money is a factor, what else would you recommend?

I use Elements for that purpose. Works great...many of the tools of the more expensive full Photoshop.

Just remember to save your creation in GIF or PNG format if you have transparency in your final project that you want to preserve.

Hi Russ,

First of all, welcome to Elements Village. This is your one stop shop for everything Photoshop Elements (PSE). I know of no other tool for building the graphical objects in web pages better than PSE. I am the webmaster for a number of sites including this one: www.SouthFloridaSyracuse.com (http://www.SouthFloridaSyracuse.com) .

Each graphical element is constructed on its own and then saved in a local file. Then paste them into a web construction tool. I use Microsoft's Expression Web because I am a dealer for Microsoft products. Other products do the same thing. Many people like Dreamweaver, the Adobe product.

If you are really pressed for money, you can build webpages by hand by just writing HTML code in a simple text editor. In fact, I would recommend doing this for small bits of code, just so you understand what is going on behind the scenes.

If you need more information about either PSE or website construction tools, just reply to this post and many, many Villagers will respond to all of your questions.

Cheers,

Bob
