Hi All,
In this month's issue of Popular Photography there was a suggestion on how to create your own "skywriting" for a Valentine's Day card. Thinking romantically, and this is tough for me, I gave it a try. Since the article had Photoshop CS in mind I could not follow the instructions exactly. In fact, I could not get PSE to give me anything that looked like skywriting at all. So... I came up with this procedure:
1/ Start with an image that has lots of sky.
2/ Set the foreground color to white.
3/ Use a "smudgy" looking brush at a small size (14 px worked well on my 3.5" X 5.6" image). Set the brush options to 15% Scatter and 20% Spacing.
4/ Draw your skywriting on a new blank layer.
5/ Reduce the layer Opacity to 80%.

Cheers,
Bob
