I have thousands of photograph copies from old family albums (long days at a copy stand) that I'd really like to get organized by names, dates and locations so they can be shared with extended family. I have been slogging away using Lightroom, but it's a long haul.
Face Tagging in Elements has been some help, but moving back and forth between catalogs is tricky and prone to error and resultant rework. I am very intrigued by the new automated parts of the face tagging feature in iPhoto 9, but suspect that would just introduce yet a third application I would have to manage into all this.
Is this a problem anyone has recommendations on the right way to address?
