Diana, I live in the Mother Lode in No. Calif. and the birds were Robins. This was taken last spring the day after hatching & on the eighth day they were gone. Although I was using a tele lens the mother & father were having fits.I followed the tutorial from here. I have learned so much from this web site and am very gratful for all of the ideas & tutorials. Jim Johnston

Wendy-

Haven't posted it yet-just need to put some sort of background on it first:) - it was fun to do. Is there any way to change the color of the glitter?

Sweet little birdies! Great job!

Hi Carol ...

No problems with changing the glitter colour ... just do Hue & Saturation, click colorise and choose a colour :)

Tip: When you have made the large sheet of glitter ... save it in its own file. That way you can just reuse it next time you want glitter.

Wendy-
Thanks...I'm looking to make the glitter a little more gold/yellow to match the color of the bauble. A silvery type might be nice as well...:) funny, I get so wrapped up in the little more comlpex stuff and forget the basics:o ! Great idea to save sheets of glitter!:)

Border breakout coming...as soon as I finish report cards! Promise!

Carol ...

Another tip ... When you are using Hue & Sat to colourize ... set your forground colour to the colour you want before you do the adjustment. As soon as you click on colourise it goes to that colour ... you may still need to adjust the saturation.

Looks like my thread on border breakout has become a subject on rulers. I am not complaining but I would like to understand what the rulers are so please share. I would also like to thank all for the nice remarks about my birds. The people on this forum are so nice. I am 82 yeard old and still learning every day. This keeps me so young. Jim Johnston

Hi Jim ...

So glad that you are enjoying the forum ... it is a nice place to learn Elements ...

Now the ruler :) ... well the ruler is a joke ... Tami (who moderates the forum) was going on holiday and whilst she was away she left me in charge of the ruler so that I could keep the class in order :)

So its just us having fun :) ..
