My properties panel in not working. Ok so I know this is already sounding pretty rookie but I have taken a course on how to use Adobe Premier Elements 2.0. See, I was getting frustrated with having the panel in my way so I closed it. Unfortunately for me, I can no longer open it or use it. I can see it; it's kinda layered over the monitor and the timeline, but every time I try and click it, it dissapears. Before anybody tells me to go to window and open the properties panel from there, i've already tried that and it didn't work. This is really pissing me off and I dont know if i'm simply stupid or if the program is glitched. Thanks for any help.

First I will tell you how to put it back "the way it was".

Yes, go to the Window Menu, BUT select "Restore Workspace", then "Edit".

Now for what I think could have happened. From your description of where things were before "Properties" skipped out of immediate view. You probably docked it with another panel, like Monitor/Timeline/.....first I would look for "Properties" being docked with the "Timeline" and the "Timeline" tab on top. Check the Timeline to see if there are two tabs there one "Timeline" and one "Properties". Do the same for Monitor, then Effects and Transitions, then How to....you get the idea. You already said that you have Properties checked under the Window Menu. Just make sure that has not changed.

You can always fall back on Window Menu/Restore Workspace/Edit as your safety net.

Let me know if these thoughts got things back to normal. It is a good thing to explore the interface. If you cannot find the way back, just ask.

Thank you ATR your instructions worked perfectly. I feel really stupid because the answer was staring me in the face. Thanks again,

Ray,

I look at questions as "need to know" and all part of getting to know the programs. Be assured that someone else has fallen into these same Photoshop Elements/Premiere Elements pitfalls from time to time, especially when first using the programs.

What is happening with those DVD Menus in the other thread? I worry about each question from all until it gets resolved.

Right now I am at the computer trying to troubleshoot a custom printing project in Photoshop Elements 7. It is not working; something is escaping me; I have done this before. So, we all end up troubleshooting one thing or another with these programs, but the results are very rewarding. So, do not give up.
