I was watching the video tutorial in Elements and Matt was saying how to download the new beta 2 camera RAW profiles from www.labs.adobe.com (http://www.labs.adobe.com). Well I downloaded the file and installed the file, rebooted and there are still only 3 options in my camera profiles in RAW mode of PSE 7 -- ACR 2.4, ACR 4.4, Adobe Standard beta 2 but none of the long list that Matt showed in the video. I have moved the downloaded zip file to the Program Files/Adobe/PSE 7 folder, and reinstalled but still no luck.

I am very much a newbie so forgive my stupidity here, but can anyone help me with something that seems like it would be very easy? I have Windows XP Pro and PSE 7.0.

Thanks in advance for your help.

What you see will depend on your camera - you probably don't have a Nikon or Canon which have more profiles. Those Beta's are also out of date - you need to download and install the latest Adobe Camera Raw plug-in (5.2) - that will also install the latest camera profiles (which are no longer betas)

You can get ACR 5.2 here:

http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4220

Scroll down the page and it has the instructions for installing in PSE7

Also, the additional profiles will only show up if you are opening RAW photos. PSD, TIFF, and JPG will show embedded in the profile section of ACR.

Thanks for the help. I do have about 1/2 my RAWs in Nikon NEF files and the others in Panasonic. I will download the 5.2 and see what happens.
