I was wondering if anyone uses a website to back up there pictures. Last year after nearly loosing all my pictures on my computer, i have so far backed them up on 2 external hard drives & have them all on CD's. Im very protective of them and a bit paranoid since coming close to loosing them.
I would still feel more comfortable knowing that they are online someplace, just in case. I was hoping someone can recommend a site that you use.

Hi Linda,
I've been using Mozy for offline backups. The backups run only when my computer is idle and the monitor runs quietly in the background. After the initial backup (70 GB!), it's very non-intrusive. And at $55/year for unlimited storage, it's a relatively inexpensive way to have peace of mind.
However ... I originally decided against HP Upline (same price) because they had some technical problems when they first started. Since then, their service seems to have been running smoothly. I'll probably switch to them when my year with Mozy is up. Why? I like their interface better and it's easier to restore a file to computer other than the one being backed up. (With Mozy, you have to select the file, then wait for an email message with a link to the file you want.)
Both Mozy and HPUpline offer free service with storage up to 2 GB so you can try them out and see which one you like better.

Linda,
I have not (yet) used Carbonite (http://www.carbonite.com/), but I have heard it is very reliable.
