I have burned movies on DVD RW and they play in all my players, however, when I burn photos on DVD RW they will only play in the computer. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to view them on a TV..........

I have been told that RW's are not playable except on computers. I am not sure I understand your question.

It all depends on the DVD player - some will some won't. You can check player compatability here (note that it makes a difference if it's DVD-R/W or DVD+R/W) There's also a good FAQ that explains the differences.

I record DVD RW's in my recordable DVD player (attached to my tv) and the DVD will play on all other DVD PLayers in my house. However, when I do a slide show in Elements on a DVD RW it will not play in my DVD players. I know it has to be the way I am burning in Elements. Do I need to do VCD with menu? Has anyone burned their photos and put them in their DVD players to view on TV. If so, how did you do it?? I know my players take a DVD RW.

Hi Mane,
I've burned slide shows onto DVD RW's before using Nero software. Are you choosing a DVD format and NTSC if your in North America? I usually always burn to an RW in case I want to change something before burning to a regular DVD.

Mane,
It depends on how your burn the slideshow. Simply putting a WMV onto a DVD-RW (or out of the the Organizer) is not gonna work. You need a special software to create a movie with your slideshow. A software that'll be able to burn a DVD in the Video format (as opposed to simply dropping a couple of files on it, making it a Data DVD).
