I created a slideshow and want to share it with friends and family online. I am using Photoshop Elements 3.0. I went to Edit, Preferences, Services and selected Share. It says it has updated my services. It also says my creations are up to date. I don't understand what to do next.

From the Photo Browser, if I click on the slideshow and hit Share, it blinks a box quickly that says "canceling creation."

Can anyone tell me how to share a slideshow online? Thanks for your help. I also have the Premiere Elements 1.0 if I need to use that instead.

To answer your specific question....

Photoshop Elements 3
First, you need to create your slideshow.
Organizer
Select Photos for slideshow
Create/Slideshow, then hit OK/Custom Slide Show or Simple Slide Show (this latter option gets you a limited PDF slideshow)
I am assuming that you are creating a Custom Slide Show which allows for transitions, music, etc. When you are finished creating, the product is called a "Creation" that needs to be saved to the Organizer as a "Creation" so that it will not disappear after it is created. The Creation cannot go outside of the Organizer. Your Creation must be outputted to a .wmv version (video). Once you have the .wmv written (with a DVD quality profile) and saved to the Organizer as well as a hard drive location, then and only then can you consider "Share" online or anywhere else.

In my version of Photoshop Elements 3, Organizer Share, the online service that it shows is Kodak Easy Share Gallery. I cannot get it to upload .wmv of my slideshow (updated and all). I now have versions 3, 6, and 7 and have not used 3 much lately.

These days Photoshop.com is being advanced as the placed to go for uploading and sharing and more, independant of version of Adobe Product. BUT, it is my impression that Photoshop.com is set up to handle photo sharing, but not video sharing. So, you will need to check out that aspect.
As has been pointed out previous, you can take your photos, upload them to Photoshop.com, and then share (showcase) them in Photoshop.com layouts (aka slideshows). But other than photos, I am not quite clear on whether the Photoshop.com will allow you to share your Photoshop Elements 3 .wmv slideshow and/or layouts of your photos in an album like fashion.

There is a Photoshop.com Forum in Elements Village. Check that out to see if that can fill in any gaps.

Add on....

If your interest is in sharing rather than specifically on online sharing, then you might consider taking your .wmv version of your Photoshop Elements 3 slideshow, importing it into your Premiere Elements 1.0, and then exporting it as DVD-VIDEO format on a DVD disc. That should be playable on TV with TV/DVD player.

Thank you very much for the replies. I appreciate it. I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong.
I had tried to do one in Picasa but when I uploaded it to share, the quality was terrible for viewing. Oh well, I'll keep working on it.

Happy New Year!

If you are planning to share online via a website you might consider using a web gallery creation.

If you are thinking about sharing via email you could try publishing your slideshow as a pdf and emailing that.

My slideshow experience is limited to v2. I've tried one in v5 yet. I never used v3.
