Usually when I edit in Photoshop Elements 5 the newly modified image is renamed by Photoshop with the same image number as the original but it adds the word ‘edited’ to the image number so you know it’s the modified image.
Then it saves the newly edited image ‘on top’ of the original.
What is happening now is Photoshop has stopped adding the word ‘edited’ to the modified image and no longer saves that edited photo. It is being saved in Windows, so the image is at least stored somewhere but I can’t figure out why it no longer saves the edited image.
Everything is a JPEG file-that’s how I’ve always done it.
I just don’t know why the edited image is not being kept in Photoshop now!
I am going crazy because it just suddenly started doing this and I can't see the final edited image in PSE5 now at all.
