A photographer on YOP photography forum posted the original photo as her best shot of 2008. She said she couldn't see anything that could be made better. That's always a challenging statement for me. I worked on the color balance, sharpening & emhancement of the eyes. I also removed a distracting dark blur in the background. I put a simple edge treatment to the whole photo, pulling it all together with a very light vignetted outer edge. This draws the eye to the central image, the face.

When I first clicked on this thread the photos came up with it and you could see the difference quite easily now they have gone and you lose the impact when you have to click on them separately, have I done something wrong now they are not coming up together.
Back to the photo....
That is stunning, I love what you have done with this, just beautiful, I wish I could do things like that.:(

Speaking for the Great Unwashed, Wow Bob, if you can do that with the unimprovable what can you do with stuff that can be improved. Well done terrific job.

P.S. If I send a personal photo, can I be made handsome??

I'm enduring a foot of snow & ice melting here in Portland, OR. I've got a brand new 2008 Triumph Rocket III Touring motorcycle sitting in the dealer's showroom waiting for the snow & ice to melt so I can take delivery. This should happen this Wednesday. NOBODY wants it gone like me. :)

Agh, you must be walking in circles just hoping the friction will melt the snow. I spent the weekend @ the PDX airport watching it get whiter and whiter.....

I noticed your location. I was born & raised in Belleville, IL & lived in Ferguson & St. Charles, MO as a married adult. I'm getting way too old for that sort of distance. Unless or course, I win the lottery & can afford a luxury chase vehicle. LOL

How did you get a recent shot of me? Christmas night if the memory rings a bell, (No that was Lon Chaney Jr) Do you realize that Marty Feldman used to look like a film start until YOU got to him. (If you want a recent photo of me go to Photocamel and check out Sppitzz.
Love it ALL, have a creative new year.
