I have created a few slideshow using PE3, and now I am ready to author them to DVD. I have the Video_TS folders from the slideshows I want together on one DVD. I thought I could do it using PE3, but can't seem to figure it out. Is this possible to do within PE3, if not what program, Nero, or other similar authoring programs?
Would it be easier to convert to another video format, then use an authoring program? I would like to use menus and chapters.

Where did you get the documentation to think that you could get more than one VIDEO_TS folder on a DVD disc with any authoring program including Premiere Elements?
From what you wrote, I am reading that as: you opened a project, created a slideshow, and then went "Burn to Folder" instead of "Burn to Disc". You did that for several slideshows and now have several VIDEO_TS folders, each representing a different project/slideshow.
Do you still have the project (.prel) file for each of the slideshows? If so, then open the project and take the Timeline content to DV AVI via File Menu/Export/Movie, using the default settings. Do this for each of the project (.prel) files for the rest of your slideshows. In the process of generating the DV AVI version of your slideshows, you will end up with two copies, one in the Media of the opened project, the another saved to a location that you selected when you were in the Export dialog box. Then you take the DV AVI for each slideshow from its hard drive saved location and bring them into one new project (.prel) and either Burn to Folder or Burn to Disc. If you go the Burn to Folder route, this VIDEO_TS (representing all your slideshows) is the one that can be burn to a DVD disc with Nero Burn Image Catagory, generating a DVD-VIDEO that can be played back on your TV/DVD player. Any reason, why you would not want to take your Premiere Elements Timeline to DVD-VIDEO using Burn to Disc?
Now if you do not have the project (.prel) files for each of those slideshows, that is going to be a challenge. We will think about that next, if necessary.
To be continued....

This came from the fact that I have been working on the project nonstop for about 2 days for a Dec 26 family presentation. Beginning with the sorting, scanning, editing, and resorting the photos. Then placing them in PE3 sorting again, and timing to music, watching, editing......
My brain is fried and my eyes are dried and cracked.:)
Any reason, why you would not want to take your Premiere Elements Timeline to DVD-VIDEO using Burn to Disc?
I wanted to keep the files as RAW as possible, for re-editing and burning purposes. I'm sure that straight to disk would be fine, but I want to avoid any possible errors.
Thanks for you assistance. I'm rendering the last slideshow now then will import them into a new project. Is the DVD burn feature in PE3 sufficient to make a decent looking DVD with menus?
Thanks again,
maxmon
To be completed soon???....

Sounds like you had the project (.prel) files for each. Great news.
You are working with Premiere Elements 3.0.2, the version that you get when you install Premiere Elements 3, followed by the Premiere Elements 3.0.2 download from Adobe?
http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=3565What do the DV AVI on the Timeline look like? If they are good, more than likely you should get good results. DV AVI is the native format of Premiere Elements. But, you are going to need enough resources to get the job done and Premiere Elements is going to need to recognize your burner.
If it does not recognize the burner, then we need to go to the workaround Burn To Folder, followed burning the VIDEO_TS of the folder in a program such as Nero (using the Burn Video Files) to get the DVD-VIDEO.
How long is the whole video? Leave fit content to available space checked. After you insert the DVD disc in the drive, what does it say in the Quality area of the Burn Dialog...Space Required.....MB.......Bitrate.....
I will be working around the computer until about 11 pm northeast coast USA time. Tomorrow morning about 7 am I will check back to see how you are doing.
To be continued.....to success....do not give up.....but take a break.

Add on....
Do you feel comfortable about creating DVD Menus? If so, good.
If not, tell me what you want to do, and we will try to get through it.
Path of least resistance, keep it simple. Simple can be good as well as effective.

Add on to add on....
Do not become alarmed....burn to disc can be time consuming. If it takes a few hours, that is par for the course.
See if you can get to the burn to disc before you retire for the evening. Then you can let it burn overnight if need be. (Hope it is not quite that long, but...)

Tis the morn of post Christmas show....and all is well...for thy has a stack of DVDs burned one for all..
Thanks again ATR. I had a brain fart and was stuck between "I think I can" and "I don't know what I'm doing". Had a little issue with the DVD menu templates and what they allowed (from what I could figure out) and what I wanted for the chapter and scene buttons. But like you said keep it simple, and I got what I needed.
I have learned to never say "Oh yea, I can do that no problem, I'll have it done in a few hours". At lest until I have found some good tutorials and online how to's for creating slideshow, movies, and DVD.

Good Job.
Although I do not always practice what I preach, if you hit a block, back off and then advance refreshed. But, I know the basic instinct is to keep going for just one more try that you "know" will work.
No doubt Chuck Engels will be visiting us today and reviewing the threads. I am certain he would urge you to check out the free video tutorials at his site http://www.muvipix.com. Remember to observe what Premiere Elements is being used for each demo. Although principles essentially stay the same from version to version, the feature location and interface often are altered from version to version.
But, when the block sets in, remember that we are here to help.
