I'm still an avid user of PSE3 and just love what I have achieved so far, of course I still have a way to go with my learning curve.
As much I am thrilled with PSE3 I and never got on with the browser and with help from this forum I removed it. I much prefere other options for viewing and managing my files etc.
To my question, is the browser in PSE4 an upgrade? If so has it improved and how do you rate it?

Hi Jon ...
By browser do you mean the Organiser browser and not the Editor one?. :)

Hi Jon
I also disabled the Organizer in PSE 3 and I did try the 30 day trial version of PSE 4. I did not choose to purchase PSE 4. I feel that the new features tried to be very automatic (red eye, selection tools etc) and pictures are not that cut and dried so sometimes they work and more often they do not. If the Organizer benefited the most with the improvements in PSE 4 I just didn't want to take a chance after the bad experiences (failed backups etc) I had in PSE 3.
I think the 30 day trial for PSE 4 is still available. If anyone has PSE 1 or 2 I think 4 is a must upgrade but not for my needs. :)

Hi Wendy sorry I did mean organizer.
Hi Mary thanks for your comments.
The two new features in PSE4 which look cool are the replacement for magic eraser tool and the easy replacement for over exposed skys. There also seems to be a new way to manage layers also.

I just bought PSE 4.0 this last weekend - after rebates it is $50...
Anyhow, the Organizer is WAY faster than 3.0 - it screams (scrolls faster, etc.)
It is way faster than the trial. I don't know if they slowed stuff down for the trial, or my install of the trial was bad, but I uninstalled the trial and installed off the CD I was pleased.
You do lose most of the Actions you have in 3.0. I'm keeping both, as I have a bunch of tools in 3.0 that are handy.

John,
Amazon.com has the best price I could find currently at $69.99 before the $20 rebate coupon for upgrades included in the package.
