There seems to be a lot of problems with the Organizer portion of PSE and here is one that, as far as I can determine, has not been mentioned. This one concerns PSE 6 & 7. My tagged photos do not appear in one group. For example, I may have several in a line of tag 1 and then photos with different tags follow. And then more of the tag 1 group. In other words my tagged photos do not appear in sequence like they are supposed to. And then just recently a named tag fails to bring up the correct photos. The photos are there but will not appear when I click on the tag group. These are problems I have been working around but they finally have become real annoying. Any comments, fixes or ideas would be appreciated. I have tried everything (such as reconnect, etc) but reinstall.....Thanks, Bill

Tagged photos appear in a group only when you have selected that tag. The order the images are in is determined by your view: date(newest), date(oldest), folder view (ordered in file name order within each folder), or import batch view. You can assign order via drag-n-drop to images in an album(collection).
Check your "hidden" tag to be sure that hasn't been accidentally applied to the images you are looking for.
When the Organizer misbehaves the first troubleshooting step to try is file>catalog>repair & Optimize. Deleting the preferences and rebuilding the thumbnails can also be helpful.
Check out www.photofanatic.com for a basic understanding of the Organizer. Although written for v3 so many details have changed the basic concepts remain.

"Tagged photos appear in a group only when you have selected that tag".
Karin, thank you for your reply. I have been using the Organizer since it's beginnings and have a pretty good knowledge of how it is supposed to work. However, as you stated above the tagged photos of a group are supposed to appear when I select the designated tag. My problem is that the tagged group appears in a split. In other words photos 1, 2 and 3 appear and then different tagged photos followed by photos 4, 5 and 6. I can't get a specific tagged group to appear in succession. I appreciate you help........Bill

Hmmm. I use 5 and 2 and am not familiar with 6 or 7.
If I select one tag I get only pictures that have that tag in my photowell (unless I check matching: NOT instead of BEST-then I get all photos that do not have that tag).
If I select more than one tag I get all the images that have all the selected tags (BEST), at least one of the tags (CLOSE) or none of the tags (NOT).
The sequence in which they are displayed depends on the VIEW I have chosen: Date (newest), Date (oldest), Import Batch, or Folder with folder depending on the preferences I have set in edit>preferences.
I am confused with your statement
My problem is that the tagged group appears in a split. In other words photos 1, 2 and 3 appear and then different tagged photos followed by photos 4, 5 and 6. I can't get a specific tagged group to appear in succession.
Are you saying that when you select one tag images that do not have that tag appear?
If you select multiple tags the order in which they appear is determined by your choice of view. Whether or not they appear at all is determined by the tag. The images with the same tag will not be clustered together unless they happen to be clustered due to the view and their value of date/import batch/folder.
Give some details as to how many tags you are selecting and what view you are using. Perhaps a screen shot. Maybe someone more familiar with 6&7 will happen by with an idea.
Another thought: Are there any stacks or version sets involved? I am not really familiar with the behavior of these yet since I only recently upgraded to a version where these exist.

Could you provide a screenshot, or a different description? I am afraid I don't understand this statement above. What is a "split"?
And when you are doing this clicking on tags, are you sure you have un-clicked other tags that you don't want to see?

I guess I wasn't too clear explaning my problem. In a nutshell, I click on one tag and one tag only and the photos with that tag do not appear as they are supposed to. For example, I open the tag named Bob. A few Bob photos open along with a lot of the of photos from the tag "Flowers." By split I mean a few of the tagged photos appear along with photos with different tags. Only one tag was selected. This has never happened with versions other than 6 & 7. I have been using PSE beginning with the very first Photo Deluxe, Adobe produced. I might add that this doesn't happen with every tag. I have tried deleting the faulty tags and retagging but the same thing happens....This does not happen with the Album Section which performs flawlessly. Oh woe is me..........

Is it possible that a "Bob" photo has been accidentally tagged as "Flowers"? I know I have made similar mistakes in the past.
Right-click on one of the Flowers that show up when you click Bob and select show-properties, then click on the Tag icon.

"Right-click on one of the Flowers that show up when you click Bob and select show-properties, then click on the Tag icon."
That was the first thing I did. Bob has only one tag. Flowers has only one tag. A real puzzler.

You said you've tried everything but didn't list what you meant other than a reconnect.
Did you do a file>catalog>recover (errr, rebuild and optimize in 6/7) This is the first step to try with a misbehaving catalog.
How about rebuilding the thumbnails? For some reason sometimes thumbnails get associated with the wrong photos. Rebuilding puts things right.
What about deleting the preferences?
