scanning 12x12 layouts

I am scanning 12x12 layouts and when I flatten the layers, I still have edges. What am I doing wrong? I am copying pages I have already done so that I can reprint them for a graduation album for my niece.

I think we need more details to understand your problem. (At least I do.)

I am scanning 12x12 layoutsThis sounds like you are physically scanning layouts you made with actual paper, glue, printed photos, etc.

when I flatten the layersThis sounds like you are working with a layered psd file. I have no idea how you would get to a layered psd from a scan.

I still have edgesNot a clue what this means.

Maybe if you give a few more details and perhaps a screenshot or two someone will be able to help.
