I'd like to print labels for inside some books that I'm giving my grandchildren for Christmas. What's the easiest way using PSE 5? I'd like a design and some text. The help topics for PSE 5 are confusing. Thanks!

Hi ..

Just create a file the size you want the label to be and make sure that the resolution is 300.

Then add some clip art or embellishments from a Scrapbook Kit and next use the text tool to add a little text.

Thanks so much. I have one more question though, I want to use Avery label paper. Any different steps I need to take?

In your case make it the size of the Avery label your using. If there are multiple labels on one sheet you will have to copy and past multiple of your label to match the Avery sheet.
If each of your labels have different copy than make each label and copy them onto the large sheet one at a time.
If you don't fill the sheet you can always use the blank leftovers another time, as long as the carrier (backing that holds the labels) is intact.

I find it much easier to use an appropriate Avery template. Many of them are in WORD, or one can download the template from their website. A graphic, created in Elements, or clipart, can be inseted along with the text on individual labels, or on the entire sheet.

Here are some Avery templates for use in Photoshop and Elements. They are in .PSD format.

http://www.avery.com/ (http://www.avery.com/)

From the left menu, click "Find a Template"
Then Click "Templates for Adobe photoshop"

My suggestion is to use Internet Explorer to bring in the Avery labels template. I cannot seem to get it to work through AOL.

Jean, I guess the URL I copied from the Photoshop Template page won't take you directly there. I changed the instructions in my post to go through Avery's menu:

http://www.avery.com/ (http://www.avery.com/)
From the left menu, click "Find a Template"
Then Click "Templates for Adobe photoshop"

Hope that works better for you.
