deleted folders and want to email

I went to get photos and then to from files and folders. When I copied then I deleted the original folder on my compter under my documents.

I now want to send some folders and back up to a CD from elements. I am unable to do this.

Any idea how I can get the photos on elements back on my computer under my documents or have I lost my ability to do anything with the photos whose files I deleted. Are they stuck on elements for me to look at but unable to anything else with.

HELP.

John under File - Get photos. Then navigate to where you have your photos stored. ORganizer does not keep a seperate file of them. It always uses the photos from where they are stored. It does make a small thumbnail image for you to see it with in the organizer. Once you tell it open it in the Editor it opens the orginial photo from your hard drive.

I found this message above on another thread. Based on what it says have I basically deleted all my photos and am unable to get them again?

Hi, have you checked your recycle bin?

I have emptied my recycle box quite awhile ago. In my research I have determined I am hooped.

In other threads when this has happened and the pictures are important people have viewed the thumbnail as large as they could get it and made a screenshot. Then opened the screen shot in Editor to crop and improve as much as possible. This leaves you with at least a low res version of your photos.

Some of the experienced users here advise making a copy to a cd before erasing their camera card--they then have their original "negatives" as a backup.

It is unfortunate that it is not made obvious that Elements does not "hold" a copy of the photos. This has tripped up many beginners.
