lost ability to save as jpg in pse 6

one minute I was okay saving as JPG and next minute can no longer save in anything other than psd, png, tiff, jpeg 2000. Anyone else have this problem.

Have you somehow gotten switched to 16bit mode? That limits a lot of functionality in PSE.
