I am sorry guys, have done a search to no avail.
this will probably be the stupidest question yet asked!
I have shot green screen video and have removed the green to back via green screen key- yeah! i want to place a background video behind this clip, but i have searched and searched on how to combine the videos to make the two appear ( person in front- sky (2nd clip)in background)
I know this answer will make me facepalm but i have run out of ideas, there is a missing part to this. I see the "combine" mentioned in the help, but no method of doing this in any way at all.
is there any method in premiere 4 to join these to create a foreground person in front of a second clip(or still) via the green screen tool?
thank you in advance for this, and any funny comentary towards my ignorance will be gleefully taken on the chin.

newaddict,

First never be defensive about asking a question. When you hit a block, just ask and then do some follow up homework to figure out where you missed the concept...in this case transparency created when using the Green Screen Key.

After you have applied the Green Screen Key to your video, you have replaced the green with transparency. So, you want to:
1. Put your people video (one to which you have applied the Green Screen Key) on Video Track 2
and
2. Put your Background on Video Track 1.

Did you try that? If not, check it out and let us know how that turns out. I will be watching for your progress. Shooting for a Green Screen project is not that easy and may take practice in the shooting the footage as well as its application within Premiere Elements.
