Well, I loaded some pictures in the timeline/sceneline about 15 just to play around with. I did save the project, and twice when I went back all of the pictures did not save in the timeline. I have them in the media box but did not save in the video. What did I do wrong? Also I noticed when I bring the pictures in from my file and than I use them on the timeline I don't see any indication of the picture being used. In Premiere 3 it showed you if you already placed that picture in the sceneline. Am I missing something?
Thanks again in advance,

Hockeymom,
I opened this thread after I had responded to your other one.
OK, you open Premiere Elements 7. The Welcome Screen appears, and you go to the Setup icon on the Welcome Screen to set the Project Preset. What Project Preset are you using? Is it NTSC DV Standard or something else?
Also, when you opened Premiere Elements 7, what did you set as the save location for the project? Was it a usual default location like the Adobe Folder/Premiere Elements 7 in a place like My Documents? Check that out to make sure that you do not have the real saved project (.prel) there. If you do find it there, see if you can get it to open in Premiere Elements 7 from there with everything where you last saw it.
Also, when you encountered this situation, did you go back and forth comparing Sceneline and Timeline Views? If so, when you went from Sceneline to Timeline View, were your photos that were placed in the Sceneline all on Video Track #1 in the Timeline?
Important distinctions...when I say Sceneline, I am referring to Sceneline View which has a "Filmstrip" with scene spots into which you place your individual photos/images)...when I say Timeline, I am referring to Timeline View which has video and audio tracks as well as one narration track and one soundtrack.
Check out my comments and maybe open a new project and see if everything is OK.
Please let me know if I need to clarify any of my suggestions.
