I am trying to learn how to use the RAW converter in Photoshop Elements 5 (I know, I need to upgrade!!) I have just done a bridal shoot and I shot all of the pics in RAW format and when I went into Elements and was able to edit all of the pictures and got all 75 of them just the way I wanted them and was ready to upload to my website (which only allows jpeg images to be uploaded.) When I was trying to save all of my edited images (which had been converted to a photoshop file) to a jpeg, I went as normal, to process multiple files and selected to have the converted to jpeg. Well IT DOESN'T WORK!! It wouldn't let me convert them to a normal jpeg file, only a photoshop file or Jpeg2000. I have no idea what a JPEG2000 file was and I am really frusterated. Also, I have an anxious bride who wants to see her pics!!! Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks and God bless!!

Carmen, you need to change the Mode of the pictures coming out of ACR to 8-bits/channel; they may default to 16-bits/channel. Two places you can do that: within ACR, there should be a window at the bottom of the screen called Depth where you can toggle between 16 bits/channel and 8 bits/channel; and within Elements Editor, you can make the change on the main toolbar with Image>Mode>8-bits/channel.

Once you've changed to 8-bit, you'll find a whole lot more tools in Elements are available to you as well.

Hope that helps!
