Can Elements 6/7 Edit PSD Files

:confused: I shoot in RAW and would like to edit the images as PSD 16 bit files. My earlier version of Elements could not edit in 16 bit. Kindly advise if that has changed? Better to use Adobe Lightroom and CS?

Not a lot has changed - PSE6/7 don't support 16 bit layers so you are limited to a single layer. That said a number of operations such as levels etc will work in 16 bit - you just can't use them as adjustment layers. Personally I find Lightroom is the way to go for RAW editing and for more advanced editing requiring layers I don't have a problem with converting to 8 bit.
