Sunburst Sky

I decided to try the sunburst technique shown in this month's video lesson. I happen to like to shoot toward the sun in a lot of landscape photos and decided to add sun rays to see if they add or detract from the photo. What do you think?

I hope shooting into the sun doesn't hurt the camera sensor the way it hurts the human eye looking into the sun.

The lens was wearing sunglasses, ie. a polarizing filter. LOL :)

I think the effect turns a pretty picture into something extraordinary--it gives it the feeling of dazzling beneficent sunlight.

I like the one with the sunbeams, Bob; it adds just enough oomph.

This Columbia River Gorge photo was taken on the Washington side on highway 14 heading East to The Dalles.

this makes me think of twilight for some reason. just the glittery sun....i love it. makes me say bow chicka wow wow.
