Tony, when were you in my neck of the woods. I visit Wupatki National Monument a couple of times a year. The ruins that you have posted are known as the Wukoki Pueblo Ruins, abandoned 700 years ago. Did you purposely exagerate the colors in post processing? Looks very magenta with a hint of blue. If you look at the Ruins from just to the west of the parking lot, the Ruins tend to look like a ship in the distance.

Ric,
Those pictures are from vacation a few years ago, I'm all about Cowboys and Indians, I love the history of it all. I did some hue/sat/con on those pictures, can't remember exactly as its been few years ago. I actually looked around Flagstaff looking /thinking for a place to retire, we like that town. Sedona /Jerome/Verde Canyon is beautiful too, been all over down there too. I didnt have right info on pictures so I knew it was on the Wupakti loop, I'm sure you have the right locations down pat.

Tony, I am so fortunate to live in this area, where places like Wupatki National Monument, Walnut Canyon National Monument, Montezumas Castle National Monument, Montezumas Well National Monument, and Tuzigoot National Monument in addition to our more famoust landmarks, such as the Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, Monument Valley, Canyon De Chelley and of course my beautiful neighborhood, Sedona, are all in my "backyard" and no more than a 4 hour drive from my front porch.:)
