Sceneline view does not display separate clips

When I drag clips from the organizer to an empty sceneline box, the clip doesn't show up in the box, but it is added to the system because it shows up on the timeline and if I play the first clip, it plays both clips. I ultimately end up with one clip showing all of the added clips.

First, you should be reading and posting this type of question in the Premiere Elements Forum here. Your type of question tends to get lost in the Photoshop Elements questions when you post elsewhere.

Second, what version of Premiere Elements are you using? I am guessing that it is Premiere Elements 7.

Third, what project preset are you using?

Next, is 5.1 channel audio involved in this mix?
