mailing lables

Has anyone made their own mailing lables. (I figured out a business card kind of.) But the labels just seem a little bit harder to fit. I really would like to personalize something like this.

It's a lot easier to do it if you have Word or similar. You can do the design in Elements and then copy and paste it into the Word label template and print the sheets of mailing labels from there. I do business cards the same way. There are probably other ways but I've found this to be the easiest as Word has all the right templates built in.

I have word. Is there a size you would suggest saving the images at? I know poster would be a bad idea but hte average lables maybe 1.5 x 2

It's more the pixels than the physical size - I forget what Word prints at but if a label was 2x1 I'd shoot for around 200 ppi and so make the image 400 x 200 pixels.

Here's a label in the same size of a business card. You should be able to fit in on one Avery label sheets. I did it in photoshop.
