Hello everyone,
Does anybody here have the book by Steve Luck "Photoshop Elements: Drop Dead Photography Techniques?" What are your opinions? Good? Bad? Just wanted to know before I put it on my wish list!:)
Thanks!

I have it and love it. Lots of good techniques and it is for elements. :)

Hi Pauline,
Thanks for the quick reply! :) Are there techniques in Luck's book that aren't already covered in Scott Kelby's books? I just don't want to buy another book with the same info as the other ones I already own.
Thanks again!

Thre will be some overlap, but lots of different stuff. Making a ray of sunlight come through a window, changing the sky and shadows on a picture, lightening, overflowing bath tub (which was a big set up and nothing I would attempt). The pickled elephant in my gallery is from the book. There are also 3 pages showing examples of each blending mode and what they do. I think you would be happy with it. I believe it was Kev, that did a couple tutorials and posted them on the site.

Hi-
I agree with Pauliine-this is an excellent book-not enough overlap to be a bother, and worth the $$:) .

Sheila ...
There are differences between the three but usually techniques in these books work on most versions :)

Is this book for PSE3 or an older Elements? Does it matter?
Thanks,

I just says photoshop elements. I don't think there's that much difference between the versions to matter. It was out before 4, so it obviously doens't make use of the new stuff that appears in 4.
