Hey everyone,
Sorry I haven't been around as much but had to focus on school. I am in business school and working full time and they were both kicking my butt. But now class is over for now and I finally have some down time. Yippee. So today I was fooling around in PSE!
Tell me what you think!

You will need to click on it to see the full effect.
This is my goddaughter. Just 2 weeks and a couple days old. Isn't she precious :)
Also I just got this book: Fun with Photoshop Elements 3 Foto fakery for everyone. It looks very interesting. I can't wait to try some of the techniques in there. Thanksgiving can't come soon enough for me. More time for photography and photoshop elements.

Hi Tawana ...
Oh that is lovely and she is just so beautiful :)
I haven't come across that book before and would be intertested to see what you think of it as I am always on the lookout for new books.
By the way ... It really is a great effect how did you do it.

The baby is gorgeous - how did you do that? I wonder how it would look if the baby's face was the original and everything else as you have it now. Kind of like our selective color tutorial... :)

Linda ...
Is it only a month to go now. It doesn't seem like 5 minutes since you first found out the good news :)
What date is the baby due??

Thanks, Wendy, for the interest in "our" baby. She's due Dec. 21. I can hardly wait. We don't live close by, so I'll be making pilgrimages to be with her every so often. My son and daughter-in-law went to a halloween party this year, and her costume was perfect for a quite pregnant lady . . . she was a sunny-side-up egg! And her pooched out tummy was the yolk! I saw the picture and roared with laughter!

Thanks for the comments everyone. I am going to try the picture with J's face as the original. As o how i did it. Lets see.
the original photo is in color, so:
1. reduce color noise
2. turn to b&W photo
3. crop the photo
4. add noise (kind of reduntdant, I know but it worked)
5. then I add the Paint daub filter
6. and texturizer filter (canvas)
for step 4,5 and 6 adjust the settings to your satisfaction.
and that is my photo.

Mary that was a good idea, although I had to tone down the color because it was extreme take a look:

Tawana that is absolutely GORGEOUS!! That is a magazine glamorous baby! I am a pushover for babies but when you photograph one that beautifully you have to be proud as can be.
Congratulations again - do something marvelous to share that with the parents! :)

Oh I definitely am, I am making her birth announcements and I think I am going to give them a 8x10 matted picture too.
I love to photograph babies. They are the best subject :)
