I am wondering if anyone knows how to change the date when the time setting in the camera changes with Daylight Savings Time.. I have an Canon XT and took some pictures the other day and noticed that the time was off by one hour and I realized that the old change for Daylight Savings Time was last weekend and now my time is off by an hour.. Not a big deal but I am wondering if there is someway to change this in the camera.

Thanks for taking time to read this and thanks in advance for any help.

Hi, Thanks for reminding me about the change. Ours is for early tomorrow morning. To change the date/time, with the camera on, touch the menu button on the lefthand side. Using the tools1 tab, scroll down to Date/Time and press the set key to choose that mode. Then use the left/right and up/down to set the correct time. Press set again to accept the change.

Tom,

Thank you for reminding me to change the time in my camera tonight. I was already in the process of changing the clocks in the house, but never gave a thought about the camera!

I see Es has already mentioned to you how to change the time. :)

I don't bother with changing the time for the cameras. I'm not that picky LOL.

I know how to change the time on the camera.. What I would like to know is how to change the date that the time is automatically changed when daylight savings time comes around.. I know this because I took a picture last week and when looking at the data for the picture I noticed that the time had already been set back and the daylight savings change date wasn't until this sat.. Can this automatic change be corrected to the new daylight savings dates????

I thought that might have been the 'real' question....but couldn't answer that one! I wish it was automatic like my computer, too.
