How do you set-up pictures with Pixentral so you can see the small thumbnail instead of just pasting the links ?. Like when you want to show 2 thumbnails side by side in the " Before and After " catagory instead of clicking on the links ? I just posted my first picture and followed the instructions of setting 1 side to 700 and less than 300mb ,but it seems the picture is big when you click the link,is that the correct way to do that ? I know I've read on here that its best to keep the posted pictures small so it doesn't slow the system down.

What I do, once I "see" my photo on the pixentral page, is go underneath it to the second line that has all the url stuff.
Click 3 times to get it all, edit copy--->edit paste here in the forum.
it will still have all the letters etc, until you click submit.

Tony,
Once you've uploaded to Pixentral, you need to highlight the second url under the image (the one labelled Forums), copy it and paste it into your post. Then you'll have a clickable thumbnail. The easiest way to highlight the url is to triple click on it.

EDIT: Michelle types more quickly than I do:)

Does anyone else have a hard time uploading to pixentral? It seems like it never takes on the first try. It seems like I have to do it 2-3 times before it finally works.

Yes, I've had that happen before. Sometimes, when it says it "doesn't" work it really does.
Another thought is your file size. For this site, I keep the pixel count at or below 700 pix. and the file size under 150 k.

Michelle and Bayla , Thanks for your response , I posted in the " Before and After " catagory and got the thumbnails ok , but I couldn't figure out how to separate them or move them around, so I just sent it that way. I'm learning tho !

Another way to do it would be to post them as one image. For example, if you have two 6x4 images, (one 'before' and one 'after') then open up a new document that is double the size in one dimension (either 12x4 or 6x8 depending on whether you want to display them side by side or one on above the other) then drag both images into the new document and save and upload to Pixentral. Sometimes I also type the words 'Before' and 'After' onto the document, like this one :
http://www.pixentral.com/hosted/1RSih4gfPUR7ZjiKGeV5rpnrTwIYj0_thumb.jpg (http://www.pixentral.com/show.php?picture=1RSih4gfPUR7ZjiKGeV5rpnrTwIYj0)
And another fun way to display a Before and After (if you're feeling a bit adventurous) is like THIS (http://www.elementsvillage.com/forums/showpost.php?p=397179&postcount=5)

From time to time I elect to post a print screen showing the picture as well as the palette configuration, etc. for an instructional purpose.
The print screen will be on the clipboard. I then open PAINT, and Edit>paste. I save this as a JPEG in an empty folder on the desktop, then upload this file to Pixentral.
