PSE 7 raw images

When I work my raw images in pse 7 they only let me save them as a .dng file. If I open the file after the raw adjustment I cant create a duplicate layer to do anything else. Could someone please point me in the right direction?

You don't need to use the Save option - when you edit a RAW file it automatically saves the edits and they will be applied next time you open it.

The second problem is because you have it in 16 bit. Image>Mode and click on 8 bits/channel and then you will be able to make layers etc. PSE7 only lets you do a few things in 16 bit and doesn't support 16 bit layers.

THANK YOU! I coulndt find the answer anywhere. Now I can fiddle with what Raw dose not not like demon eyed dogs!
