I have a photo of my workbench, and want to add white oval outlines over areas that will indicate 'links' to pages on my website. (I have a webdesigner to do the actual work, I just need to supply the graphic.) How do I draw the ovals in PSE-6? Seems like it should be simple, and in fact, I did it once, I think using the Cookie Cutter Tool, but can't seem to figure it out now. Detailed, step-by-step answer would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Terri

Try this:
make a new blank layer above your photo.
use the eliptical marquee tool (m), draw out your oval shape. (you will get the marching ants.)
edit> stroke outline> select a number of pixels and the color of choice
then click ok.
hope this helps.

Thanks Michelle, Success! I had to make the ovals on the background. When I tried to use a blank layer I could not access the Stroke (Outline) Selection command, but it worked fine on the background. Very helpful, thank you.

Draw your selection on an already established layer - then open a new layer and stay on that layer - the stroke option should be available if you do it this way.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.
