I am shooting with the D300 and am having trouble getting the RAW files to open and I need an upgrade of ACR to 4.5. I have not been able to find it on the internet today. I saw it yesterday but did not download it. Can anyone tell me the site to download ACR 4.5.

The following link should get you to the downloads page check there if it is specifically 4.5 you need.

They changed the links around today because ACR 5.1 came out - and that apparently won't work in PSE5. You can see a list of all earlier version downloads here:

You probably want to get 4.6

This is too funny, I barged in on "Camera Raw" thread today with the exact same problem. I did a little snooping and through the "help" files in PSE6, I navigated to that download. I too shoot with the D300 (rocks!) my question is....Can I just download and install the newer update (5.1) or do I need to install in order? (4.5) I am using PSE6.
Many thanks for the help!:D

Ahhh Thank you! When they say to copy the new file (Camera Raw .8bi) to the right folder, do they literally mean "right click-copy"? Sorry for the dumb questions but me and my computers have had "words" before......and the computer always wins!

Right click copy does work on the new file and then right click paste into the correct folder (rename the old file to something like Camera Raw.bak first just in case the new one doesn''t work and you want to put back the old one)
However don't take my word for it as all computers must be a bit different. My brother-in-law has a D300 and I was coaching him over the phone on how to upgrade his Camera Raw. Somewhere along the line either I said something wrong or he did something wrong or our respective computers weren't behaving the same because it didn't work first time - but it's working now.

Thank you sooooo much. I have to say that this has to be the best site ever for help! I want to get the hang of Elements so badly. (reformed PSP user) I'm glad I found this site! Everyone is just so helpful! I haven't even thought of venturing out to another forum!
Thank you Tony!;)
